The Bamaga Junior Campus provides Kindergarten to Year Six classes, as part of the Northern Peninsula Area State College, which caters for the educational needs of students from the three communities of Bamaga, New Mapoon and Seisia.
The campus is lead by a Head of Campus and there is a Deputy also based at the campus. The staff comprises about 20 teachers, teacher aides, and office staff with a student population of approximately 300.
The Bamaga Junior Campus is located on top of a hill looking over the Bamaga township. Students are bused to school from the Seisia and New Mapoon communities, or walk from their Bamaga homes.
The site has a very large oval and the original buildings are of the wide balcony timber style connected by covered walkways.
