The Northern Peninsula Area State College services students from the communities of Injinoo, Umagico, Bamaga, New Mapoon and Seisia.

Use the map of the Far North Queensland region (PDF, 1.3MB) to see the location of the schools and their physical relationships and distance from the neighbouring schools and colleges.

The communities are situated about 30 kilometres from the tip of Cape York.  The outlining towns of Seisia, in the North West and Injinoo in the South West are approximately 12 Kilometres apart on the western side of the cape and all the towns are connected by sealed roads.

The primary school aged students residing in Bamaga and Injinoo walk to school, while the primary school aged students from the other communities are transported to school by school bus or private motor vehicle.  Ama Mary Eseli Injinoo Junior Campus generally takes enrolments from Injinoo and Umagico, whilst Bamaga Junior Campus services the other three communities.

The high school aged students from all communities are transported to Bamaga Senior Campus by private motor vehicle or school bus, whilst the older students residing in Bamaga usually walk.

Use the school bus schedule (PDF, 186KB) to work out the time to catch the school bus from your community.
